Senior UX/UI Designer

UX/UI Designer (Senior 4–7 Years)

Job Code: GEDS-MD0126

Applicants must be UK-based and have the right to work in the UK. No visa sponsorship is available for this role.

Engagement: Fixed-term PAYE employment from October 2026 until approximately 20 March 2027.

Work type: Remote, with occasional travel to Sweden or the Netherlands when required.

We are looking for a Senior UX/UI Designer to join a project for one of our global clients.

What you’ll work on

  • Design end-to-end journeys across homepage, rooms, navigation, and ideas/inspiration surfaces
  • Drive add-to-cart rate from upper-funnel touchpoints through improved discoverability and relevance
  • Build and validate personalized, adaptive content systems that balance utility with clarity and trust
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Analytics, Content, and Research to define problems and ship solutions
  • Contribute to and extend an established design system with patterns built for scale and flexibility
  • Use data, testing, and research to inform direction and measure impact
  • Bring strong design rationale backed by user insights and data
  • Move rapidly from concept to testable prototype
  • Hold your ground in debates while staying collaborative
  • Make quick decisions with incomplete information
  • Iterate based on feedback and performance metrics

What we’re looking for

Visual craft & systems thinking

  • Strong visual design across layout, typography, hierarchy, composition, and art direction within an established system
  • Fluency in prototyping and interaction design to communicate intent
  • Ability to design for accessibility, performance, and internationalization from the start
  • Ability to navigate complexity, edge cases, legacy systems, and multi-market constraints

E-commerce & personalization

  • Deep understanding of discovery-to-shopping behavior, merchandising logic, and browse-to-buy conversion levers
  • Experience designing recommendation systems, dynamic modules, and content prioritization logic
  • Judgment about when not to personalize—knowing when consistency and predictability matter more
  • Familiarity with A/B testing, analytics instrumentation, and learning from customer behavior

Product thinking & experimentation

  • Think like a product owner, understanding business goals, user needs, and technical trade-offs equally
  • Data-driven mindset: form hypotheses, design tests, interpret results, and iterate based on evidence
  • Comfortable designing for A/B testing and experimentation frameworks
  • Bias toward shipping and learning over perfecting in isolation

The three most important qualities

  1. Visual craft and systems thinking. You design with rigor—clean hierarchy, confident composition, thoughtful art direction—and know how to scale patterns across surfaces.
  2. E-commerce and personalization expertise. You understand how customers browse, discover, and buy. You know how to design dynamic experiences that feel helpful, not heavy-handed.
  3. Outcome focus and delivery. You care about impact. You ship, measure, learn, and iterate. You connect design decisions to business results and customer value.

Important: Hands-on visual design experience

We are specifically looking for candidates with strong, recent hands-on visual design experience and a portfolio that clearly demonstrates their design craft. While strategic, service design, and research experience are valuable, the focus of this role is on designers who actively create and deliver high-quality visual design work.

Please ensure your application includes:

  • An up-to-date portfolio
  • Recent examples of visual design work
  • Strong evidence of hands-on design execution and visual craftsmanship

Profiles with primarily strategic or research-oriented backgrounds and limited recent visual design work are unlikely to be considered.

Application: Please send your portfolio and CV to careers@geds.com.tr. Please make sure you include the job code and position title in the subject line of your email.

Please make sure your application is complete and your documents are well prepared.
