Gulay Ozkan joins 16 other experts appointed by Design Council and the 13 other consortium members to help expand the reach of the Design for Europe project.

Ailbhe McNabola, Design for Europe programme coordinator and Director of Policy and Research at Design Council, said: “Design for Europe showcases the benefits business and public services can achieve by integrating cutting-edge design. Our panel of experts will be vital in helping us extend the reach of the project and ultimately help more of Europe’s enterprises to understand how design can help them provide improved products and services and increase the standard of living for EU citizens.”

Gulay Ozkan, Founder at GEDS, said: “Design can achieve for the world as much as technology did in the last century. We just need to raise awareness and create the right resources around it. In order to do that, we need projects like Design for Europe where the design community brings its forces together to enable the field reach its full potential. I am happy to support the initiative to create a human-centric impact in Europe.”

Design for Europe is being delivered by a 14-strong pan-European consortium, led by Design Council in the UK***. Central to the project is the Design for Europe web platform – designforeurope.eu – which brings together knowledge and examples of design-led innovation from across the EU.
