Applying Design on Nonprofit Organizations

Editor - 10 February 2015 - 0 comments

GEDS has recently collaborated with a non-profit specialized in education. At the beginning of the project, our client asked us to prioritize their work from the perspective of their beneficiaries.

Through the phases of contextual inquiry, deep collaboration with the team, and ideation we analyzed their workloads, opportunities for improvement in their workflows, relationships with their beneficiaries, and their position in the current educational landscape. As a result, we drafted a strategic plan to reposition the organization based on the current ecosystem dynamics in order to scale their impact up.

In order to do that, we used a set of design tools originally developed for for-profit businesses. As these tools were aimed at maximizing human-centric impact, this conversion of businesses tools to non-profit domain provided a brand new lens for our client to simplify their processes while building up their impact.

GEDS website will soon be updated with more information about this new collaboration. We are looking forward to a continued partnership with our new client.
